Q: Why use a ReefBoard vs. snorkeling?
A: Snorkeling is fun for some people, but others don’t like to breathe through a tube and look through a leaky, hazy mask with a limited field of view. Some people also don’t like to get their face and hair wet. With the ReefBoard you get all the benefits of snorkeling with none of the negatives and you get a full 14” wide view of everything underwater. And it is very handy in colder water to have most of your body OUT of the water.
Q: How durable is the ReefBoard?
A: The ReefBoard was originally designed for commercial rental operators and resorts. It is built for daily use for many, many years.
Q: What is the ReefBoard made of and where is it made?
A: The ReefBoard is made of marine polyethylene, the same material used in kayaks. It is proudly made in Pennsylvania, USA by American craftsman.
Q: What is the significance of the black “mask” over the VuScreen?
A: The magic of the mask is that it blocks the sun behind and over you and improves your underwater view dramatically! It also provides a comfortable, padded place to cradle your head and face as you watch the underwater world through a wide screen. It is made of neoprene, just like a wetsuit.
Q: Why pay $50 more for the Adventure model when the Explore model comes with more stuff?
A: The Adventure is actually a FAR better value for a rental/resort operator for the following reasons:
- The warranty on the Explore in commercial use is ZERO vs. TWO YEARS on the Adventure.
- While an extra 16oz. (6%+) of HDPE does not seem like a lot, it increases the hull thickness in critical places that are important in a daily use commercial operation.
- The Attachment points are only needed for the carry strap which is not needed in a rental operation as the units stay in the same place in most instances.
- And finally, our unique Try & Buy program enables you to try only the Adventure, not the Explore model and still get the discounted rate on that purchase, applied to future purchases.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: We don’t really get returns, but we want you to be 100% THRILLED with your ReefBoard. If within 30 days of purchasing your ReefBoard from us or an authorized dealer you would like to return it, please follow the return instructions in the Return Policy section.
